Ozpeanuts Australian take-home

Competition

Search take-home and you get a pile of tabs. We opened the live ones. This is what we saw, and what we shipped.

ATO tax withheld

ato.gov.au

Opened the employer tool. Last updated 24 June 2026. Copy is for people paying staff — payees, TFN declarations, two to ten minutes, then a wizard. Study-and-training loans sit inside one withheld lump. No HELP line a partner can read. No super. No year-end.

We already name HELP on its own payslip line, and a year-end line next to it. Super stays on top. No wizard.

ATO simple tax

ato.gov.au

Opened the landing page. Last updated 1 July 2026. Years offered: 2013–14 to 2025–26. No 2026–27. No HELP field. No Medicare. Two to ten minutes for tax on taxable income only.

We already default to 2026–27, with HELP and the Medicare levy on the first screen. Last year is a switch, not the only year.

ATO income tax estimator

ato.gov.au

Opened the estimator landing. Last updated 1 July 2026. Years: 2015–16 to 2025–26. Fifteen to twenty-five minutes. First job is a wizard. No take-home on the first screen.

We already put the offer, HELP, and take-home on one screen. No account. No twenty-minute form.

ASIC MoneySmart

moneysmart.gov.au

Opened the income tax calculator. Last updated 19 June 2026. Year picker includes 2026–2027. Tax and Medicare, then after-tax. No HELP toggle. No super. Assumptions sit in an accordion.

HELP is a first-class checkbox. If it is on and the salary is under the threshold, we now say so — $69,528 for 2026–27 — instead of a blank repayment.

PayCalculator

paycalculator.com.au

Opened paycalculator.com.au. The live page is a JS shell. Today’s pass put display ads on the $2,701.85 fortnight and pushed the number under the chrome.

Nothing is sold next to the figure. On a phone the payslip number now stays on a sticky bar.

OzCalc

ozcalc.com.au

Opened the FY2026-27 calculator. Source line: checked on or after 2026-08-19. HELP is a checkbox. Payslip and year-end are both labelled. The intro is a paragraph. Two offers means a shareable URL, not a second column.

We already compare another offer on the same screen. Quote stays yearly unless you say otherwise.

SEEK Pay Calculator

au.seek.com

Opened the live tool. Year on the table: 2025–2026. Default $84,000, fortnightly take-home $2,520.31, no HELP control. FAQ still recites 2025–2026 brackets. Compare is a job ad. No official occupation median.

We already put HELP on the first screen and 2026–27 on the result. A graduate offer does not silently skip the study-loan line.

Money.com.au

money.com.au

Opened the 2026 pay calculator. Hero copy is week, month or year — no fortnight. Heading says 2026-27; the table is 2025-26 rates. Super note still cites 1 July 2025 – 30 June 2026. FAQ says the most recent year is 2025-2026. HELP sits at $0 until a balance is typed.

Fortnight is the default view. The year on the result is 2026–27. HELP is a checkbox, not a balance field.

WageCalc

wagecalc.com.au

Opened the 2026–27 calculator. HELP is a toggle. The first card lists income tax, Medicare, super, and the effective rate — not HELP. Pay cycle is spelled Ftnightly and rewrites the salary. Compare is a second URL. One FAQ still quotes the 2025–26 HELP floor.

HELP is a line on the first result, payslip and year-end. Compare stays on this screen.

Canstar

canstar.com.au

Opened the take-home page. Copy says the tool excludes Medicare and other levies. Rate table is 2025–26, sourced February 2026, content updated 3 June 2026. MLS sidebar is also 2025–26. No year-end clock.

Medicare is already in the number. The year-end clock now says how many weeks are left in 2026–27.

ASIC MoneySmart mortgage

moneysmart.gov.au

Opened the mortgage calculator. Last updated 18 June 2026. It estimates principal-and-interest repayments, how much you can borrow, and how to repay sooner. The average rate cites RBA Housing Lending Rates. No years-to-a-deposit next to take-home. No official occupation median on the same screen.

Take-home now carries published pay from Jobs and Skills Australia and the Remuneration Tribunal, and a deposit clock from ABS dwelling prices, Housing Australia's 20 per cent and 5 per cent, and the NHSAC 15 per cent of gross assumption. We did not invent leftover income.

We do not replace the ATO, lodge a return, or run payroll. Not a ranking and not advice. See the Disclaimer.
